Any kind of clothing irritates the hives

I’m at such a loss. This is what I woke up to today. My skin is on fire. I’m covered again head to toe but it’s the worst on my chest and face. I’ve done prednisone, two antihistamines a day and a shot of xolair!
The shot helped for a few days but the hives started reappearing again! Literally have no idea what to do next. It’s making hard to work, leave the house as any kind of clothing irritates the hives.

Dundee Weisheit Dont be so stress because it will get worst. I know its hard BUT you cant do something about it.

Frieda Lardinois I’m free of hives (3years now, after 10 years of misery and so many doctors!) since I changed my food and after I was treated for leaky gut. Try to find a functional doctor. Good luck! I know what you are going through.

Jillian MB Frieda Lardinois I feel like it’s something in my stomach causing it also. Since the hives started 6 weeks ago I have had the worst heartburn almost daily I’ve ever had. Before the hives I never experienced heartburn!

Frieda Lardinois Jillian MB heartburn is very common in our case, still now I’m taking 1 Omeprazol in the morning to avoid it. It happens when I eat something wrong (like gluten or a dairy product) It needs so much discipline to stick to the diet but when I feel the difference I’m back on track 😉 the heartburn is caused by leaky gut.

Jillian MB Frieda Lardinois I take omeprazol once a day in the mornings also. I don’t find it helps for the heartburn at all. I’ll have to mention to my doctor about leaky gut

Frieda Lardinois Traditional doctors make fun of leaky gut (in my case) but as a last option I did go to a functional doctor and her diagnose was leaky gut, she treated it and then everything got better! No more Dapsone, Medrol or other horrible medication! It’s such a relief!

Jess Jo Frieda Lardinois so happy for you! I’m experiencing the same thing as Jillian MB except for the heartburn. I have had no heartburn or digestion issues, ever. My allergist keeps insisting I must lol.

I feel like m issue could be leaky gut as well however, not sure because I don’t have heartburn

Nicole Carrie Frieda Lardinois Do you mind me asking how you treated your leaky gut? I have been treating mine with L glutamine, probiotics, apple cider vinegar because a lot of people think that acid reflux is due to too much acid so they take a acid reducer which is the worst thing you can do because it will keep your chronically sick with low acid. I learned that I was doing the wrong thing by taking Western medicine for acid reflux. Also got checked for do you mind me asking how you treated your leaky gut?

Also got checked for h pylori Which drives and low acid conditions, this can also create hives. It’s very hard to get rid of and I am still trying to get rid of mine but I truly feel that once it is gone my stomach acid will be back to normal and even getting the acid back to good from a low position will also kill off those got bacteria’s. Western medicine does not believe in wiki got best thing to do is see a functional medicine doctor and work on healing your gut all of our issues are related to the gut most of our immune system is in the gut

Wendy Mangelsdorf Have you considered acupuncture? I’ve read that is can help. I may give it a try myself

Jillian MB I haven’t, never knew it was something that would help. I will look in to it! Thanks

Gordana Donna Go to a Function doctor. Do a detox cleanse n start fresh with foods!
