I’ve been on them 18 months and skipping just 2 months I’m already covered in the hives again.
Has anyone been able to come off of Xolair and never have hives return? When I first started Xolair my doctor said usually it’s a 2 year treatment plan and most patients come off after 2 years with no recurrence of hives. However, I’ve been on them 18 months and skipping just 2 months I’m already covered in the hives again. Feeling very discouraged thinking this may be something I need for the rest of my life. I’m thankful for the Xolair and the fact that it has allowed to stop taking everything else and I have had zero side effects. But I guess I’m just depressed to find out the hard way that even after 18 months, I am still reliant on my monthly shots.
I was on Xolair six months. Stopped completely and was hive free for a year. Then hives came back. I am not back on Xolair. This time after six months we are gradually increasing the time between shots. So two times five weeks apart, two times at six weeks apart and so on. So far I am at six weeks apart and no hives. After we get to 8 weeks between shots for a couple of times and think we will stop.
I’ve been on 3 years. Tried to stop but they came back. ☹️
I have had one 18 month old remission and a 7 year remission. There is hope.
I’ve been on three years and when I go past 6 weeks they start coming back
Maybe xolair wasn’t for you even though it worked. It worked for me until I skipped a shot & then it stopped working. And the hives came back nasty and worse. So then I was prescribed cyclosporine for 6 months and my hives haven’t has a single hive come back in 9 months.

I went from every four weeks to six weeks and now get them every eight weeks. I’m almost at my two year mark and will then come off and see how that goes

I was on Xolair for a year. They came back 4 or 5 months after stopping.
I am getting them and have only had 4 injections 😩
On it for nearly 4 years. Tried to space them out to ( instead of 4 weeks. Hives inside my freaking ear canal!!! So, back to 28 days.
Was on xolair for 18 months, been off it for 7 months now.
