How much Pepcid to take for Hives?

I have been reading in recent years from people who suffer from hives (I also have). Many of them report that taking Pepcid ac twice a day for three months cures their symptoms.

I was impressed to read about this, as I suffered from hives for a number of years and tried almost everything – the only thing that worked is to stop eating dairy products. I tried the Pepcid ac, but at 2 tablets twice a day, it did not appear to be working after two months so I stopped it.

How much Pepcid to take for Hives? What is the correct dosage of Pepcid? How long do I need to take Pepcid to reduce my hives symptoms?

If you are one of the millions of people around the world who suffer from hives, then you know just how uncomfortable and frustrating it can be. The good news is that there are many steps you can take to reduce your symptoms and make your hives less noticeable. One of the most effective treatments is taking an antihistamine like Pepcid AC (famotidine).

How much Pepcid to take for Hives?

Pepcid is an over-the-counter medication that can be used to treat hives, which are red, itchy bumps on your skin. Hives are caused by an allergic reaction to something you’ve eaten or come into contact with

The standard dose of Pepcid is 20 mg per day. You can take this dose once a day or twice a day, depending on how severe your symptoms are. If your hives are very severe and don’t go away after taking the medication for a few days, talk to your doctor about switching to another type of antihistamine.

The recommended dosage of Pepcid for hives is 10 mg every 8 hours or 15 mg every 12 hours. You can take this dosage with food or without it. It doesn’t matter as long as you are following the directions on the bottle correctly (make sure they say “take with food”).

If you have hives, your doctor may recommend taking 1 or 2 tablets of Pepcid every 6 hours for up to 3 days. You should use the lowest dose possible to treat your symptoms.

It’s best to take Pepcid with food or shortly after eating a meal.
