Where does Hives come from?

Hi guys, there’s a question that has been bugging me for a while and I’m pretty sure some of my regular readers would love to know the answer too. What is the history behind Hives? So I did a bit of research and here’s what I found out.

The word “Hives” is a shortened form of the word “hive”, which is an enclosed structure where bees live and collect honey. The name “Hives” was chosen because the company’s mission is to improve how people work together and communicate with each other.

You may have noticed that we’ve been using the word “hives” a lot lately. It’s because we love it. It’s versatile, it’s fun to say, and it’s easy to remember.

That said, we know that some of you have been asking: where do Hives come from?

Well… The short answer is that we just made it up! We wanted a word that sounded like something cool and futuristic something that would make you think of bees but also technology and data science.

So we decided to come up with our word for a group of bees: a hive! And then we added “hives” onto the end because it sounds so cool!
