A small hives under each eye, is this hives?
I went to bed with a small hive under each eye. I woke up to having swelling under both eyes. The areas under my eyes are red and puffy but the lid is not swollen. What is this? Is this hives? What can I do to reduce the swelling and redness? The only change I had yesterday was my dapsone pill was increased from 50 mg to 75mg.

Idela Iñesta I think thats is an angioedema its part of the CIU I always use the same allegra with pepcid but if all my face has angioedemas I use benadril its works for me
Anne Camille Jongleux Mine do that. Often just puffy, but always red. Been nearly daily for the last several weeks. I’m going to sound so vain, but it makes me look old! I’m not too self conscious about my hives, but dang! hate my eyes looking like I haven’t slept in days.
Franca St. Cyr Gravel I agree with Iñesta, it’s angioedema. I started getting that in August. They can appear around your eye, on your lip, hand & even foot. Definitely show your doctor that picture the next time you go.

Sheri Lynn I just had this, both eyes almost swollen shut with several days of what looked like bags from no sleep. Besides the antihistamines, I have one of those cool packs I keep in the fridge, it feels like rice or something in it-so not icy cold -put it on my eyes several times & it helped the swelling & the pain.

Michelle Shannon Only just saw this. When I get angeo round my eyes I use a gel filled eye mask that sits in my fridge for this very reason and stick some eye cream on as it seems to help me with the puffiness

Adele Counter I got this when I took pain killers for headache which was codeine. I don’t get it with paracetamol.
